In this example, the Local-AS feature is used inside a routing instance so that eBGP customers peering with a new AS number that was acquired through a merger/takover are hidden from the original underlying AS number the network was built with:
set routing-instances ABC protocols bgp group SOMEGROUP neighbor x.x.x.x local-as 12345
set routing-instances ABC protocols bgp group SOMEGROUP neighbor x.x.x.x local-as private
